Cabbage
All types should be sown 1cm (1/2") deep in the seed bed with rows 15cm (6") apart. Firm ground high pH and good humus levels are all important in achieving a good crop. Cabbages suffer from a number of foliar pests.
Spring Cabbage
Sow mid-July to August and transplant September to October in 30cm rows leaving 15 - 30cm between the plants. Remove every other plant as "spring greens", early in the spring, leaving the remainder to heart up.
